We want to point fingers and place blame on what or who makes us unhappy, but unhappiness is something WE possess and We must choose to dispose of it by allowing Jesus to take those wounds and heal them. Healing deep wounds doesn't happen overnight. The Balm in Gilead must be applied regularly, daily, often by the hour, but healing will come, although there may always remain scars. Do you hurt? Have you given up on healing? Give Christ permission to be your Physician. Even if you already known Him, you still have to go to Him for treatments. Choose to seek His assistance. We cannot heal ourselves. How do you seek His assistance? Cry out from the very depths of your soul. Tell Him what burden you have on your heart. Turn away from all the distractions which keep you from confronting your wounds. Take time out in silence at some point and mediate on His Word and pray. Stop blaming others. You can choose to rise above. Forgive those who've done you wrong. Forgive yourself. Forgive God.... Healing takes time. Don't give up.
