My grandma's dinner table was a table set with love, where loved ones gathered each Sunday and special occasions to break bread together. It was a safe place where everyone had mutual respect for one another. In the same way, our Father in Heaven calls us to His Table of Remembrance, in love. But if we come to His Table, and take Communion, then we must have mutual respect for one another, and we must become what we eat - His visible body to an unbelieving world, and His message of the New Covenant of His Blood, as we are called out to be a royal priesthood of believers, to deliver this Good News. Therefore, we are salt and light to the world, to bring about the awareness of God's presence with all.
