Everywhere you turn, someone has a supposed answer for your problems. Do you have anger issues? Take this pill. Are you overworked? Go here on your next vacation. Feeling depressed? Maybe you need to buy yourself this new car. But do these really give us a peace? Not really. Perhaps a temporary one. When we turn to Christ and abide in Him, we will find peace. You say, "Well, I am a Christian and I am not really experiencing peace right now". We don't experience the peace of Christ when we don't abide in Him. We must lean not on our own understanding, but put our trust in Him and confess our sin of mistrust. We want to control our lives, but when we make Christ the Lord of our life, remember, He is the Author and Finisher of our faith, so what should we have to fear? We all struggle with peace, because it is our human nature. This is why we must come to Him daily, confessing sins of mistrust, and abide in Him. It is in that moment that the peace which surpasses all understanding, the peace that makes no sense to the world, the peace only found in Jesus Christ, will be the calm in the middle of your storm.
