As Mary experienced the birth pains as she was pregnant with Jesus and He was being born into this world, we today are experiencing birth pains before His return. There are wars and rumors of wars, but these are only signs that the time is getting closer. We anticipate His return, but shutter at the thought of all we must go through before PEACE has returned to the land. While people try to find peace through drugs, food, the abuse of alcohol and prescription drugs, etc, we won't experience peace on this Earth until Christ returns. We are not of this world, and so we cannot expect to find peace here, but most defiantly for those who are obedient to God, they will find peace in the life to come when Christ returns!
Have you ever lost something? You look everywhere for it but can't find it. You look in all the wrong places because after all, what you lost is where you left it originally. God hasn't left you, nor has He forsaken you. He is right there where you last left Him. Isn't it time to quit looking in all the wrong places for happiness and start looking to Him? There is where your joy will be found; not necessarily in this life, but most certainly in the life to come for those who are faithful and obedient to Him!
Words are a powerful thing. You can build people up with encouraging words, or you can break them down. When we get discouraged, we can speak life and love of God over our problems using The Word of God. Yet at the same time, God has spoken words of love to us, warning us of the day of judgment; to repent and walk in obedience. Let's choose this day to speak words of life and love over one another, and over our own life!
